Today, I want to share my favorite South Asian accessory brands that sell the cutest jewelry, bags, and more! This post isn’t sponsored at all, and I have been wanting to write this for awhile. I love creating Indowestern looks where I incorporate my love for Western fashion with South Asian accessories. These brands always have fun, unique pieces that give me a lot of joy when styling them!
Also, before we dive in, I know it’s been a hot minute since I posted on here. After my Palm Springs trip, I got pregnant and well morning sickness kind of took over–for the entire pregnancy. Unfortunately, I had to take a much longer break than I wanted to. Well, now my baby is here, and I am loving motherhood! However, I’m so ready to get back into creating content and writing blog posts again! I know that this blog has been about travel for the most part, but I do want to venture out and start sharing other experiences–specifically around motherhood and fashion!
Here are my top five South Asian Accessory Brands:
1. South Asian Accessory Brands #1 Llani:
I actually discovered this shop during COVID and fell in love with their colorful printed masks. However, Llani designs shoes, bags, jewelry, and other beautiful accessories. She has local artisans in India handcraft these pieces. What really caught my eye is the fact that she works with factories that are female or family owned and ensures that the female workers are given opportunities for leadership roles! Llani gifted me a pair of the suede scrunch sandals and the Kavi leather ring wristlet, pictured below. I am just so impressed with the quality and details of each piece, which is something the brand prides itself in. They use high quality materials like leather, suede, and shearling. If not splurging on a piece for yourself, this shop would be a perfect spot to choose a gift for a loved one!
2. South Asian Accessory Brands #2 Hut Mentality:
This shop is actually owned by my mother-in-law’s best friend’s daughter, Isha. I fell in love with her online store almost instantaneously because each piece is so unique and beautiful. Isha takes modern Western concepts and incorporates traditional Indian designs. For example, she takes puff sleeves and combines them with mirrored textiles or sweetheart necklines incorporated with hand embroidered patterns. She and her mother find local artisans in Northern India who work with bright, colorful fabrics and share their art by creating stylish tops, dresses, jackets, and more. Since each textile is so unique, it’s difficult to create a mass bulk of the same item, so pieces sell out FAST. I was able to borrow this gorgeous puff sleeved corset top and style it. I hope to snag some pieces in the future for myself before they sell out!
3. South Asian Accessory Brands #3 Farwah Mirza:
This is by far my favorite jewelry line for two reasons. First, the colors are just gorgeous and include a pastel palette that I never ever see in other South Asian jewelry lines. Second, the pieces are really affordable for such great quality! I literally just stocked up on some new pieces because there was a 20% sale, and I could not resist!
4. South Asian Accessory Brands #4 Electric Bazaar:
I came across their store via a blogger named Marjhan, who I’m always so inspired by. They too have very affordable pieces that are super eclectic and sustainable. They also ensure the designs represent different regions in Pakistan. I love that their mission is to empower the local artisans to be able to earn a sustainable income from their talent/ hard work. Their hope is that one day the fashion industry will turn away from fast fashion and the norm will be to support local artisans.
5. South Asian Accessory Brands #5 India Trend Shop:
I am just always amazed by how many different jewelry designs this shop has. It’s my go to for affordable sets that have A LOT of stuff included. They have kits that include necklaces (long/short), tikkas, earrings, rings, bracelets, etc). I had so much fun styling my Indowestern costumes with their pieces. I like to buy especially when they have sales/ discounts! Also, shipping is super fast–like less than a week fast– and they ship from New Deli, India.
As I mentioned, I enjoy browsing these online stores for accessories because they really add a pop to an outfit whether it’s South Asian or Western. All these South Asian Accessory brands really have something special to offer. Regardless of your style and personality, I am confident you will find something that fits your needs.
I hope you enjoyed this post and I will definitely be sharing more fashion related posts in the future!
